Have you ever bought a book just because it was pretty?
Yes, I need my books to match the rest of my decore. (35.16% - 64 votes)
No, are you insane? It's the contents that matters! (64.84% - 118 votes)
I may pick up a book because it was good looking.......
But if it doesn't looklike a good book then why read it?
Oh and by the way......Im first!

I've bought books because they aesthetically appealed to me...
but not because they "matched"
I just like the weight and feel of a good old-bound book. and I happened to enjoy its contents as well

Ditto on LadyLorraine's Comment
I'm an Easton Press collector and love both the aesthetic qualities and the contents. I also had a brief flirtation with the Folio Society, but alas, I can only afford so much!
we all know we didn't pick up WoT for its pretty jacket art
Content is what matters. If the cover art and overall book design is aesthetically pleasing, all the better.
The outside have never mattered to me.
If it did, I would never have read fantasy.
It's just a plus if the outside looks nice,

I have however bought one version of a book
because it was prettier (or more in line with the rest of the books of that author) than the other versions.
I do this all the time
A good title or a pretty cover will sway me. I also have several editions of the same book because I have come across a better-looking/feeling one after having bought the first.
Yes
It's how I got started with Wheel of Time - "The Shadow Rising" had a pretty cover that looked different from the standard "knight, princess and wizard" type of cover in the section, since it looked as if it was in a Western setting.
sort of
I always liked thick books with cool covers, which is why I picked up the Eye of the World in the first place. So I'm kinda in between on this question.
actually, I DID first pick up WoT because of the covers
I was young, and had been enjoying reading the Xanth stuff by Piers Anthony, including other books that bore Darrell Sweet artwork. For a while there, as a stupid teenager, I enjoyed his art.
I saw The Great Hunt on the New Books shelf at my library and it caught my attention since I recognized the artist immediately. Checked that and EotW that day and things have never been the same for me LOL.
But I have never bought a book cuz it had a pretty cover.
