I guess you'll have to try one of the two. Or not, of course. Do you remember what made you give up on the books?

In some ways one could argue the show is better, or at least it's a much harder call than it normally is. It certainly has some really great character development - not just by the standards of fantasy movies/TV, but by any standards.
