To force the West, the prophesied Armies of Rome, to confront the Faithful in battle at Dabiq, Syria. There the Prophet foretold the Armies of Rome will be defeated which will begin the countdown to the Islamic End of Days.

Since this is their only goal the West has two choices. Ignore the provocations in which case they will continue to escalate. Or fight and crush the fighters of DAESH at Dabiq and expose the prophecy as false.
