I went on a date in 2007 (I think...or 2008?) to see Stardust because the girl wanted to see it, and when I saw it was by Gaiman I groaned inwardly. It lived up to its expectations, which is to say I didn't like it.
EDIT: It did help get me laid, but that's not the point.
