What is Alabama like? aerocontrols Send a noteboard - 30/07/2017 06:16:18 AM

Well, I've lived in

Wichita, Kansas
Atlanta, Georgia
Huntsville, Alabama

So keep in mind I have limited comparisons. I disliked Atlanta a lot because the city is so impersonal. I think I would dislike any large city, really.

The people here are pretty religious, and much more forward about it than I've experienced elsewhere. When I first moved here I was surprised when my dental hygienist asked me what church I was attending. Weird. Luckily work is not like that.

There are some places I would not be comfortable here if I were a person of color. (There were some places in Atlanta I would not be comfortable as a white guy, too!) I describe Huntsville though, as a place that is very similar to the Wichita I grew up in during the 80s, because it's about the same size.

Not sure if any of that answered your question.

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
