That portrait is a really young 26. And it's quite a few years before she marries Lan, as I recall, so she'd be closer to 30.

One of her major sources of angst is that she doesn't look her age, everyone treats her like a kid, and when she realizes that she's on a trajectory to age like the Kin, she about loses it.
Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
