Society deems what is acceptable in these situations, and then frames then into laws. Ergo, what is legal is moral in THAT society. We have a different opinion NOW, but you can't condemn a dude for obeying the law at the time. Further, the age of consent deals with sex, and he did NOT have sex with any of them (according to all the accounts I have seen). He sought out women in a specific age category looking for a future wife. Oh, and check the age of his wife and by all accounts he has been faithful to her ever since.
There are 2 accusations that, to me, raise serious issues. That of the 14yo and the one represented by Gloria Allred. HOWEVER, both those accusations have serious believability issues. If they are true then he needs to vanish from public life (cause it is way too late to prosecute him), but simply being accused is NOT the same as being guilty.
So there's a good chance my next Senator is into teenagers
