It's so hard at the time, and all you can do in the face of your own emotional response is trust that the professional knows what's best. But we have also decided we won't be pressured/rushed into that decision again. It totally sucks, and I'm sorry It may very well have been for the best, and at least he was happy and knew he was loved for the time that you guys had him.
