Gold success for France depends heavily on biathlete Martin Fourcade who is currently forecast to account for three of the country's first place finishes
Plus they expect 3 relay medals in biathlon for them (men, women, mixed) and Fourcade with another silver as well, plus a woman in the podium in biathlon twice. So that is 9 medals only in biathlon. Then they have medal chances mostly in the downhill and freestyle skiing kind of events.
