View original postThen, there is the point of whom she was telling this stuff to: her five year old daughter. Her daughter was four the last time Dad won. I sure as shit don't remember the Super Bowl from when I was four. The prior win was when the kid was two, how is she supposed to remember that? She probably has some vague recollection of being carried through a large noisy building with pathetic men in red clothing looking sad, and now this year, she was looking forward to being able to put it all in some context. Even the oldest kid wasn't born when the Patriots won their first three. In his lifetime, they are 2-3 in the Super Bowl now. Does her little socialistic sanctimony make any sense to someone with that perspective? It's like lecturing some blue-collar worker, supporting a family paycheck to paycheck, about his white privilege.
