I am not an expert in this so I am speculating and would love feedback from people who know more.
When was the slavic words added? For to my understanding with the history of Ashkenazi Jews that the population ancestors originally settled on the Rhine river (so the border of France, Western Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands). Then later on many of these Jewish people emigrated East so there was a greater population in Eatern Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and so on.
So are these words originally from the older time and then changed with a language / accent shifts that is natural but also cross-mingle with their neighbors. Or are these words more of an imported basis over from these regions that often spoke more of a Slavic nature. Perhaps it is both, or another reason altogether.
I am really curious from people who know more about this language (and languages in general) for my knowledge in this is basic, but I know some things and the biggest thing I know is that I practically know nothing
