View original postIf I recall Larry was into it... whether the dinosaur erotica would get a Hugo or not do to an online campaign caused by the gamer gate / alt right crowd. A group called "Sad Puppies" were mad (for these internet activism groups are always mad), that their sci fi and fantasy books were not more popular, and they blamed the Hugos for they saw the Hugos as not picking the most popular books but instead books with novel themes and progressive values (or something), and thus they tried a 5 year campaign to "humiliate" the Hugos by nominating things they thought would be embarrassing. Even if the the things they nominated with were unconnected to "Sad Puppies"
