It often takes two or three episodes for a new show to really catch your interest, but for a first show this one wasn't bad at all. Plus the Sons of Anarchy easter eggs were pretty cool.

Most of what the critic in question complained about were things that all the actual people I know loved about Sons. And, of course, he'd bitch about contrived plots and plot-driven characterization, and then write glowing reviews of Game of Thrones.
