I want to believe her, I really do. But... - Edit 1

... the evidence (well, lack thereof) is too thin, the timing is too perfect for the Democrats, and the rebuttals have been absolute.

If she has evidence this happened, then bring it forward. I understand that predators manage to keep their victims down by their positions of power, their front being so righteous most none would question, etc. But bring forward some evidence. So far, all we have is very foggy memories of a groping at a party where the accused claims to have never been.

And I mean, while that's certainly sexual assault, that is far from the "attempted rape" the media has put forth.

Beyond that, there's 2 others she claims were around, neither of which has any memory of this groping occurring at all. Beyond that, Kavanaugh claims to have not even been at this party. This was in the 80s, yes? Surely, somebody has pictures of that party.

And even if not, even if those witnesses are lying to cover up Kavanaugh, the timing is far too suspect.

I mean, for the sake of argument, I'll even say, ok, let's say this happened. In that case, the morally responsible, right thing to do was the bring this issue up immediately when the letter was received by Feinstein. If this is an actual thing that happened, the responsible, correct course of action is to immediately bring the issue up so that it can be investigated.

But, that's not what happened. Feinstein gets it and sits on it for over a month; the fact that it was used as a last-ditch effort to stop Kavanaugh's vote does no favors to this woman accusing him. It makes her a political toy; for the Democrats, it benefits them twice. First, for acting as another way of pushing back the confirmation vote, closer to midterms. Secondly, by making the "mean, white, male Republicans" look bad for attacking a "rape survivor".

So, I mean, best case scenario here is that the Democrats are using a sexually abused victim for their own ends.

And then, I just can't believe her. There's no evidence. There's no proof. Anyone who could know seems to be saying "yeah, this didn't happen." I know it shouldn't matter in this discussion, but she's an ardent Democratic supporter. I'm not entirely clear on the details, but she either works with or has supported Planned Parenthood. And, as we all know, since the Democrats and CNN have pushed this narrative, that Kavanaugh is going to overturn Roe v. Wade, and kick women back into being subservient baby factories.

And then, to fall on the current talking point, if this makes him unsuitable for the Supreme Court, does it not make him unsuitable for his current position? And, if the accusation is true, that is clearly the case, why not bring up the accusation back then? I mean, that was what, 15 years ago? Much closer to the date of the crime.
