I bought the Ancestry.com test. I couldn’t decide between that one and 23 and me. The deciding factor was concerns about the their sale of data to drug and medical research companies. So I went with Ancestry, who just tests for genealogical data, not health and medical.

Anyone else?

I wanted to do 23andme for the analysis of genetic risk factors for some diseases/inherited conditions (Grandmother had Parkinson's). I did it long enough ago that I still got those studies before the US shut them down on that front. I didn't really care about ancestry although it was nice that it showed more Russian than Ukrainian.

And yes I consented to my DNA being used to help in research efforts. They can sell my data. They can do research on it. If it helps discover stuff for anything, it will all be worth it.
