But you see, even then, I don't buy that argument. The people who use the term are the white progressives who are engaging in self-loathing and self-criticism, beating their breasts in a "mea culpa" to their "privilege" and viciously attacking people for "cultural appropriation", while also trying to sound black because they think it's cool.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
