that is in a regulated field, often the values are reflected in the paperwork and accounting software. Yes, things can be streamlined, but often one is written with the other in mind. It is far more advisable to learn from other things, take what is valuable, and write your own to fit your needs.

The problem is that there are way too many cooks in the kitchen, and too many opinions on what the meal should be.
