You're doing this for a reason that doesn't stink of judgement or following a fad. You're also not screaming in my face saying that if I have a burger, I'm committing cow-murder or some such (while you have on some nice leather boots). Instead, you are taking counter-measures in your diet to stave off having to take stronger measures.

This is great and worthy of encouragement. I also then know that we can have a spirited discussion on the influence of Ripley (Alien), Buffy (Vampire Slayer), and Captain Janeway (ST:Voyager) vs. the shallow and badly written female characters of today's pop culture which scream forced identity politics.

While that discussion is going, may I interest you in this hummus and veggie platter?
