View original post Brienne actually leaves a woman in mortal peril, in order to hunt down & behead a dying man for revenge for a usurper. And the show doesn't notice that they are filming Brienne & Ramsey murdering wounded men in close proximity, or what that might say about either. Her victim, Stannis, the guy who is redeemed by his choice to put the kingdom ahead of his gratification? Nah, he's not attractive or witty or LGBTQ-friendly so we're going to punish him for killing the guy who was and change his story to be about how badass Ramsey the Rapist is.
That scene drove me up the wall. Of all the ways they could have killed Stannis off, they just HAD to have it be a revenge killing for the sake of that usurping shithead Renly, the only one if the Five Kings who didn’t have a leg to stand on. Renly utterly deserved his fate, and it really pissed me off that show had to “avenge” him by letting Brienne murder Stannis while hanging on to her delusion that Renly was the “one true king” because he was nice to her at a party once. It was completely childish.
And of course everyone else I watched with just LOVED the scene.
