I had to reread a few times but i didn't see where Tom claimed they were un-American. Anti-American yes and a strong case can be laid out for that. Anti-Americans can still be american which makes them deeply hypocritical.

We can get into culture and the rules of society and how those are helpful or not helpful and if its possible for one set of cultural values to be superior to another set... if you like.

I think its readily apparent that one set of cultural values can be superior to another set. It has nothing to do with race but everything to do with ideas.
