If Denmark doesn't want to be affiliated with Greenland, they have just as much right to end the relationship. I don't see why Denmark couldn't "sell" whatever it is that they do have of Greenland. Whatever arrangements Denmark has with Greenland for its administration and governance, in the international scheme of things, it belongs to Denmark. If the Greenlanders want to remain Danes and not become part of the US, they can move.

Greenland gets to say who owns it when they have a military and foreign ministry or state department.

Well put Cannoli. The fact that Fionwe finds the whole thing so absurd is evidence of his TDS.

Fionwe, its so hard to take you seriously. Every time i read your posts, I imagine you foaming at the mouth as you typed it. You are rabid in your conviction against Trump. Classic example of TDS. So funny to everyone who reads your posts.

I think its also funny how you are against borders of a country when it comes to allowing people to pass back and forth freely between them. But you are for borders when we're talking about peacefully "acquiring" territory from another nation state.

I also consider it funny that you think if Denmark and US looked at entertaining some sort of deal to transfer Greenland to USA as its new steward.... they would overlook the autonomy of Greenland. The whole "deal" would be a complex thing to consider let alone bring to pass. I think all of the parties involved are aware that this is the case. They are followers of the law. The "deal" would fail if it couldn't pass legal scrutiny in the USA as well as legal scrutiny in Denmark.

What is absurd about transferring stewardship from one nation state to another? In the past this was done through war. I think the world has come a long way to today where usually that doesn't happen. USUALLY. The last time that i can remember was actually with Russia and Crimea but as a general rule, boundaries don't change that often any more.

If Denmark decides its done with Greenland... Greenland doesn't get to DEMAND that Denmark continue as its steward. That's not absurd. If Greenland wants to declare its independence... go for it! They may not survive as an independent nation given the dependence they have on Denmark.

Furthering the funny is the last attempt to acquire Greenland from Denmark was done by your boy Truman. That wasn't that long ago. But... "things are different today and you aren't supposed to even suggest acquisition of new territory because its...." how did you put it? "unreasonable, inappropriate, and illogical". Truman is practically ancient history. We aren't even the same species anymore.
