I would have been curious to see what they did. What I'm just mildly bummed at is just the loss of a "high production value" show. With HBO money, the production value would have been high...so not having that is a bummer. I wonder what other projects will come about?
On a related note, I've heard that the HBO show of "Watchmen" was good. I was gonna let a few of them pile up and then watch them and see. Anyone watching as they are released?

The comic is brilliant, and I also hate the comic. Shrug ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I literally see everything that makes the Comic great, and it is a thing to be studied and something that would make a great book club, or college course to encourage discussion, yet at the same time it is not my taste of entertainment, the original Alan Moore comic. [I adore other Alan Moore works but that is another conversation.]

There is no way "literally" in hell , I am going to watch Watchmen right now. I am open to watching it eventually after a Season 1 or preferably Season 2 if I am told it is good and it is not full of cringe. I sense betrayal, manipulation, and the show being bad is possible but it can also be brilliant.
And if it's brilliant I will gladly wait and feel like that is the right call to make. And if the show is poor, or distasteful me not being invested in it was the right call.
[Skips listing reasons why such as the Subject Matter, the show runners, yadda yadda yadda.]

I hope Watchmen turns out to be great, but that is too unpredictable of a result from a "casino odds" perspective to see why should I take a chance when there is too many hours of good TV and good books I could instead be doing that has a more consistent response. I am open to experience, but also not too open.
