Another reason for the lockdown was to prevent widespread infections in rural areas, which have substantially lower healthcare access and capacity. Whatever second wave we see may well not be in the big population centers where most of the deaths in the first wave were concentration, but instead in rural counties where eveb small outbreaks can overwhelm hospitals. I'm desperately hoping I am wrong, but that's the likeliest outcome.
