Also, I love how some on this board have gone from condescendingly smirking at you for daring a few weeks ago to suggest Biden's cognitive decline existed to now accepting it. But not only being accepting of it, but even quite pleased with it so long as it brings their desired candidate to power. Trojan horse indeed.
If they are knowingly running a candidate who can’t serve his term, this is a bait and switch of colossal proportions. And no one cares. Harris was one of the first to drop out of the primaries because voters from her own party didn’t want her and now they’re fine with her becoming a non-elected President because Orange Man bad? This is the party of the moral high ground?
And then people wonder why I’m such a cynic. I’m so tired of expecting the worst and being right.
We live in a material reality and we live in a symbolic realites, and we live in the spaces between the two.
We live in infinite despair and infinite hope with the symbolic realities. For those symbolic realities allow greater things such as the acts of solidarity and being able to cooperate at a distance.
_Literally the whole idea of a nation is merely a mental fiction we have all for the most part agreed to. And if enough people stop believing the mental form, that mental invention which is a fiction, then that fiction will stop having power.
_Likewise we have fought uncountable religious wars throughout all of mankind's history over the idea of what is the true symbolic reality. Literally millions going onto a billion have died due to this and there has only been roughly 100 billion human souls throughout history.
_Symbolic Reality is always being created and nonsense introduced into it, people trying to police it, people creating new divergent texts with "Syncretism", so on and so on. This is the way of the world and there is no such thing as stopping it, nor should we want to stop it. We just pray it ends up on the side of things we call good, healthy, pure, pro-social, etc instead of the coin flip on the other side where everything is the opposite.
What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

Last night was rough for me that I was feel despair and woe. A real tough time.
Thus I decided to escape my house and I went to a Dairy Queen and bought a burger (sans bun), fries, diet dr pepper and lastly and most importantly... a large ice cream blizzard.
_Edit: Forgot to mention the food was exquisite and just what I needed at this time, while I live in this hellmouth. For a brief moment all was well with my area of the world.
I hope you are doing fine Mookie, we antagonistic assholes such as myself do care about you even if we disagree on many things. Yes we can be cynical and only see how things can go wrong, but simultaneously transformation is possible where the same "emergent" stuff can lead to good things from time to time.
