I do find it interesting that there's more outrage over his comment of not being afraid of the virus, rather than astonishment over how well he's doing.
Most of the time, the President of the United States getting a notable illness, and then doing well/positive prognosis, would engender more positive than negative.

All they got was his regular stuff about how his opponents are lying/stupid/false etc.
Also I think most people are aware that for many, covid isn't that serious (especially if you have pretty much immediate access to some of the best doctors in the country). That doesn't change the fact that it is dangerous. Let's assume he'd instead said "This Russian roulette thing isn't so dangerous, I got no harm from it. Don't let fear of it change how you act."
Would that be different to you? Fear of what the disease can do is after all what motivates people to act differently now than they did a year ago. If not for yourself then for parents, grandparents, neighbours and so on.
