Anyone else catch the spectacle of McConnell's speech on Saturday? To wring your hands in mock outrage, then bemoan that Trump cannot be convicted because he's out of office after refusing to take up the trial while he <I>was</I> in office, and McConnell himself had the power to set the date of the trial... The utter gall.

Not remotely surprising, of course. But it's incredible to see someone be so openly hypocritical and not blush even a little. It's like he's from an alien species.
He drinks in their tears, rage, and contempt...and like some form of vampyre witch uses such energy to sustain himself and to produce his own internal McConnell joy.
Trump is so guilty, McConnell had to acquit him...
