Or were the other airstrikes not as bad from your point of view? (Airstrikes in 2017, 2018, 2019)

And also, are Drone strikes considered different in this regard? As many drone strikes carried out by both Obama and Trump it seems, but doesn't look like a reduction of activity in that regard by Trump.

Apologies for the late response. I really had to digest this. Because you are absolutely right. In fact, deaths, specifically civillian deaths, were at an all time high under Trump. And I am perfectly willing to entertain the idea that Trump is just another tooth on the shark that is our political system.

The truth is, I was not well-informed on the extent of Trump's involvement in the Middle East during his tenure (part of what took me so long to respond). This is entirely my fault. I put trust in certain news outlets that I thought would decry this behavior. Those failed, and I did not do my own due diligence. It makes me angry at those sources, and ashamed at my ignorance.

I do find it insightful, however, that his actions in the Middle East were largely underplayed in the Media, except the few highlights when MSM applauded him for his actions.

Whether or not Trump was a contrarian to the establishment or a puppet to it are open questions, in my inclination. I tend to believe the former, considering the unbridled and insane opposition he received from government, media, and Hollywood. To your point, however, some of the most important things did not change, or got worse. So I don't know...

My larger point still stands, however. Biden is without a doubt a well-refined cog in the machine. And that machine has had a project going on in the Middle East for decades.

Fair enough, and agreed that early indications are that Biden will be no different to the previous presidents, hard to determine exactly what that project is, and how much politicians are straight jacketed by various other factors in play.
I enjoyed what I saw of West Wing, and at times there could see various pressures being applied forcing the characters into 'strong' action like airstrikes, which feels like could echo real life, and how much the likes of the presidents are pressured into taking action.
