He went on to list all of his positive accomplishments as Governor and railed against politics and social media, while claiming he was taking full responsibility for the sake of his daughters.
He also claimed while his instincts were to fight the “false” accusations, he was resigning to spare the state of New York the expense and emotional drama that would come with impeachment.
So, a noble sacrifice.
