I don't have a really high bar for television. Lots of things enrapture me that are not good (THE FLASH, DOCTOR WHO, WHEEL OF TIME), and I dislike many that are excellent (THE SOPRANOS, BREAKING BAD). I'm able to recognize that some shows are fantastic and others are terrible, but they really don't correlate to what I enjoy watching.
My favorite shows are a combination of high art, solidly good TV, and absolute garbage.
