Any actor they can bring in strengthens their hand. Or so they think.

View original postWhen my brother and I sat down to watch this the other night, he asked why they cast someone who looks nothing like Boba Fett's father (Jango) whom we saw in "Attack of the Clones." I pointed out that it was the exact same actor who played Jango to his astonishment, but it's a good point. From what the clone people say, their clone army project started ten years before "Attack of the Clones." Jango's payment for his involvement was a clone that would not be fast-tracked to adulthood to raise as his own child, so Boba Fett's maximum age when he first appears on screen is 10. According to official Star Wars lore, that was 22 years before "Star Wars", which was 4 years before "Return of the Jedi." So when he went into the Sarlaac, Boba Fett was 36. Temuera Morrison is 62. And looks it.
View original postThey did not have Harrison Ford & Billy Dee Williams play Han & Lando in "Solo," they did not have Carrie Fisher play Leia in "Rogue One," they did not have Mark Hamill play Luke in "The Mandalorian" and they did not have Alec Guinness play Obi-Wan in "Phantom Menace." So who's going to complain if they cast an age-appropriate actor in "The Book of Boba Fett"?
