Never owned a gun, but I support gun rights. But... - Edit 1

Somethings gotta change. Background checks and minimum waiting periods need to happen, at a minimum. Raising the age to purchase to 25 makes sense to me, at the least for semi-auto weapons, and, sexist though it may be, certainly for males.

The simple fact is at that age we are far too unpredictable. Most of us never do anything too awful, or merely hurt ourselves being braggarts, but the rare few who do something horrible like this are finding it far too easy to legally purchase firearms.

I don't know. I just do not know. But I do know that Congress isn't gonna do shit, so States have to start coordinating to get things done. Idk if its semi-regional gun-shop coordination or more state oversight a la liquor sales, although the latter I'm far less supportive of, something has to change.

And it has to be the People who do it, because the State is inept, corrupt, useless, and impotent; as the cops on-scene at this shooting, and as our ineffectual Congress, both have provided shining examples of its failures.
