I do not know how literal I should take this but


Payne teases to Empire in our world-exclusive cover story. “The rights that Amazon bought were for a 50-hour show. They knew from the beginning that was the size of the canvas – this was a big story with a clear beginning, middle and end. There are things in the first season that don’t pay off until Season 5.

I am curious if there is a "hard limit" due to contracts with the Tolkien estate of how many episodes minimum and how many episodes maximum a tv series could be? (instead of something like a movie, of course the minimum length I assume they have already met.)

I so glad I do not need to watch this show at this moment, I can use others as a shield / signal of whether I should try this. Tolkien was once extremely important to my heart, but I am in a different place now, and if its bad why open myself up to the heart-ache.

I am so sorry Mookie that it is not going well so far.
