There’s a Facebook group that beats the horse into glue over these woke issues. They miss the point.

The show sucks, period. It would suck no matter the race or gender of the cast.

The writers don’t respect the story.

One can picture the writer’s room as they are developing the storyboards.

“Three thousand four hundred years? Are you fucking kidding me? Christ, can we make it a couple of hundred? No one will care.”

“Ban of the Noldor? What is this shit? What, it’s First Age stuff? Fuck it, no one will know the difference.”

“What do you mean the Númenóreans and the elves we’re friends for millennia before it went sour? Didn’t we already settle this? Two hundred years people, three hundred max. We only have two seasons as of right now, remember? What if we get all five? No worries, throw in some extra love stories and some more fights. Audiences love that shit.”
