Like characters being introduced in different ways or at different locations. However, the WOT is so big that the challenge is to figure out what to cut vs what to focus on. There is no need to create anything new with the story. It's all there. It all worked. RJ created one of the best series fantasy series of all time (even after factoring all the issues with the later novels). It's truly ridiculous for a showrunner to think they can do a better job with RJ's world than RJ.

Just think how good GOT was when Dan and Dave stuck to the original content. Remember, GOT started to S the bed not just because the books ran out, but also due to D&D deciding to ignore GRRM. Once again, showrunners thinking they can do it better.
