Of course they see the Seanchan as a metaphor for European colonizers and the concept of Manifest Destiny. What could be more evil?

Randland was Hawkwing's empire that his descendants in Seanchan have come to reclaim. But that would be too gray for the creators of this show. They have to show the Seanchan as somehow more evil and more benign. Because the Seanchan believe they must fight the Dark One at TG. And they have to insert 21st century American discourse into everything. Because they are tiresome imbeciles without any original thoughts of their own.

Of course the creators also don't understand what a damane is - a pet, not a slave. No more than our dogs and cats are slaves.

Makes you wonder, then, how this show will end? Because bad news for you Rafe - the Seanchan control like 1/3 of Randland at the end of A Memory of Light. Though I think this show will be cancelled well before then.
