“ I will never serve you, Father of Lies. In a thousand lives, I never have. I know that. I'm sure of it. Come. It is time to die.‘

Only one of the iconic quotes in the series.

Jesus, what a travesty.

Except for the "time to die" part. He says that to Ishamael and then a bunch of Seanchan on their ship, off shore, channel up to a location they cannot see to shield him.

Mat ties the Shadar Logoth dagger to a staff so he can use it without actually touching it, and that's how he gets his signature spear. He throws it at Ishamael, who teleports away and it hits Rand to make the wound in his side. But it's okay. Elayne Heals it. After she got shot by a crossbow, Nynaeve helped her limp up to where Rand was, in time to Heal him while Egwene held a shield against Ishamael's attacks on the party. Rather than try to fight and help her, Mat just held Rand and apologized. Just when Egwene was going to lose, Perrin runs up with a magic shield that was given to him by a Hero of the Horn (Uno, actually) to augment the defense.

Moiraine later frees Rand just when it seems like Egwene is going to lose, by sinking the Seanchan fleet from a beach several hundred yards away. Also, some Seanchan soldiers come running up the beach from the wrong direction toward her, just so Lan has something to do. There is an archer on the nearby cliff supporting them, but apparently he only had two arrows, because we don't see him do anything else after Lan catches them in mid-air. Rand then channels fire through his sword into Ishamael so his body crumbles to dust. It leaves a li'l heron on the heel of his thumb (ie the least painful part of your hand). We are supposed to give a shit, even though he was just Healed of the Dagger of Evil's wound.

Then the One Power that Moiraine was blasting at the Seanchan ships escapes her control and turns into a Dragon which lands on the tower with Rand and the gang so everyone can see and cheer him.

I shit you not.

There is a little epilogue, where Lanfear, who commissioned Bayle Domon to carry the Seals containing the other Forsaken into the ocean to dumb them, goes into Ishamael's bedroom to collect them and finds they are all broken. Moghedian, who dresses like a school teacher and has web powers taunts her and says she & Ishamael were too friendly with the Dragon and so she and the other Forsaken are going to deal with him now and she had better stay away. Lanfear trembles with fear in her webs and when Moghedian leaves, says, "Light help you Rand al'Thor." Yes, Lanfear actually says every one of those capitalized words.

I honestly would not have told someone this summary as a joke if I had not seen it.
