I'll do my top ten of all time (subjective obviously) The Shrike Send a noteboard - 17/01/2024 08:38:40 PM
  1. Gattaca
  2. Howard's End
  3. Titanic
  4. Goodbye Lenin (German)
  5. Indochine (French)
  6. Lord of the Rings trilogy (yes, a cheat but if Tolkien considered it one book then I am considered it one very long, extended edition film. And yes, only the extended editions).
  7. Amelie (French)
  8. Out of Africa
  9. The English Patient
  10. Bladerunner

My list can change, but not often. I tend to go for beautiful movies. Meaning I am entranced by the story's visuals. Think movies nominated for cinematography. And usually the soundtrack is sublime too. I can really get into good orchestral music.
