For a while, I have found it mildly amusing to scan the conspiracy theories on The Platform Formerly Known as Twitter. But as they continually increase in both number and intensity, as is what occurs in a Presidential election year, it becomes mentally exhausting rather than entertaining. You reach the point where STFU is the only possible reaction.

But it will not get better and we will not chill. No matter which one of the two horrible candidates wins in November, the other side will overreact and the spiral will continue. I don't see it ending until both Parties have truly new leadership.

As Bill Maher said as the opening line to his first new show of this year,
"Welcome to 2024 where the best hope for the country is if both leading candidates die."
