Everyone in the store was asking "Was that an earthquake?" and I'm like "I am right here, in the same place as you. What on earth makes you think I have more or different information?"
And, like, what were they going to DO with that information? The ground shook, and then it stopped. Okay. Now what?
I have much the same feelings when people speculate about the weather.
Magnitude 4.7 with the epicenter in Lebanon, NJ. It occurred just after 10:20 AM EDT. My phone immediately blew up with texts from friends and former coworkers commenting on how their houses shook.
In this case, it's even more baffling, because this is sort of a universal phenomenon. It's like texting the other people in your house that it's raining. Pretty sure they know.
