I think outside of the hyper-compressed timeline of the series, the Barrow-downs have been the most egregious setting error.
I'm still enjoying the show, but the cracks caused by their not having the rights to THE SILMARILLION are steadily widening.
I'd like a nice adaptation of the tale of Beren and Luthien.
