I mean, it would be one thing for me to make those plans and then be stunned when the Giants found themselves still playing in February, but as you yourself seem to be parenthetically implying, it's not like you didn't at least have a sneaking suspicion that it might be possible you'd have a reason to stay in that day.

Notice, I am not saying "Oh poor you, your team is in the Super Bowl again." Perennial top team fan problems are valid problems. And unlike the rest of us, for whom just being in the game at all should be enough, you're a veteran of the experience, and you know what works for you.

I'm just saying, this isn't bad luck, or time for a privilege-check, it's just that you are the author of the situation with which you have every right to be displeased.
