Reassure me that the sequel preserves some of this and doesn't merely try to out John Wick the original.
IDK about preserves, but they lean into the family bond/conflict, and the autism stuff. I would say they are not trying to outdo the original in action sequences. Also, the autism stuff is more prominently featured. Christian's autistic hacker friend gets more face time since her identity is not a secret from the audience any more. It also plays a role in making a connection to the official case. There could be a slight concern that they are veering into autism being a superpower, but OTOH, the institute where Christian met his friend is a special facility that seems geared more to the savant types, so it makes sense that the autistic characters are not supposed to be a representative sample, but rather selected for extraordinary qualities.
