For roughly $500, Russia can build a cheap Chinese drone that has enough explosives to rip a hole in the armor of an Abrams tank. These drones are small. High explosives are cheaper, and smaller, and pack more punch, than ever before. One drone like in Ukraine dropping into the crowd at Times Square on New Year's Eve would cause mass casualties. Ten or more could create a total bloodbath.
Yeah, I watched a video of a drone carrying dual carousels each with multiple small charges that can be dropped separately or discharged in unison. The damage even a small coordinated swarm of these could do is frightening.
