I find it unlikely that a warder would have known and been able to protect a wilder, so I don't really think that White Flame would have been able to prevent Bergioyn's death.

However, Isaac tells us that the start of Day 3 was delayed because he was waiting for White Flame's night action. Now, if White Flame couldn't protect Bergioyn, and if White Flame and Bergioyn were the two desired targets for night kills, I don't see how WF's action could have made any difference.

However, if White Flame was not, in fact, the chosen target, then it does become critical and perhaps worth a delay. Of course, this would also mean that Yunalesca is lying.

I'll just throw that out there for now, and see what other people think.

You're right. White Flame was a bus-driver and I take it he could protect his Aes Sedai by switching places with them. So, the way he died is by switching places with someone who was actually targetted for a night kill. Re-read White Flame's PM for the details.

Thus, Yunalesca must be lying. She didn't target White Flame, but rather someone else, with whom White Flame switched positions.
