Caballien looked up from the bodies on the floor. That Souvra would commit such treason was beyond reason, but that she would admit to it, was even stranger. Before he had gotten over his shock, the next man had died. The man called Bekkar, obviously a blademaster. Looking at the colour shifting clothing, Caballien finally made the connection between the two deaths.
He was used to being in control of his own situation. In a pub, in the market place, in courts. But this, this place, was far outside of his comfort zone and he felt control slipping. It made him nervous, made him talk too much and saying too little, as the others had pointed out yesterday, just as he used to do before he found the protection, power and money from the Great Lord.
Shank left the Main Hall to search through the rooms of those that died. Seeing somebody take control of the situation, Caballien starts to feel better.
"So, somebody's finally doing something. Really trying to find out who the other traitor is. Surely there can be no more than one left after these three were killed. I vote that we let Shank be our executioner for the time being. He's obviously trying to do something about all of this."
Caballien leans over to Bekkar and then removes the chain from his neck, pocketing both the pendant and the ring. He then stalks over to Bekkar's room and starts to rummage through his stuff. Maybe that will finally tell us more.
