We can't know for sure if people's role powers match their characters, I'm not sure for instance that, to use a DC character, Superman would be bulletproof, but it would hardly be surprising. It would be rather bizarre for him to be a lie detector though. Similarly the Punisher might not be a vig but he's be a queer choice for Bus Driver. I do think, that if the characters powers and roles are meant to be tied together, which I consider probable, no one will be too surprised by our initial casualties abilities, up to and including that Superman is unlikely to be vanilla, but a lesser known and less powerful comic character might be, or one who has no obvious role power translation. We'll have to see when the bodies start hitting the floor of course.

I'm not a huge comic junkie either, but I did acquire a fairly hefty collection in my teens and it was Marvel Comics by and large, so that helps, but really, whether one is or isn't a comic person, wikipedia is likely to serve as the better guide than memory anyway, most of the things I commented on regarding WF's character list is from there as opposed to personal memory.

As for composers or cellists, should you ever run a game you're welcome to do so, I tend to shoot for Sci-Fi or Fantasy stuff, particularly WoT, when designing games here as a matter of site flavor but it's hardly required. "Who killed the conductor?" or something with a Phantom of the Opera flavor works as well as a WoT theme, its just everyone on the site tends to know WoT. This is basically a murder-mystery game so that genre's pretty valid too. I kinda favor keeping to themes or genre's likely to attract new players, circumstance dependent I might run a Dresden's Files game when his next book is slated to come out and had the timing worked out differently I'd probably have leaned on whoever was slated to mod to run a WoT game timed to Towers of Midnight's release, but ultimately every mod is best off picking what they like and know.

As for our next step, really it's just hearing from White Flame and seeing what he has to say, it could likely end in a RC by him, I've a few other players who's list caught my eye and a couple other routes we can follow if it comes to that, but this seems the best one for the moment, in my opinion.
