It really could be a lucky guess that's true, it just seems unlikely, for instance, Death Note is one of a very small number of animes I liked and watched, and I read that, and I didn't think "Light", but FT's guess didn't strike me as weird, but all that points to it is 'modern setting', male, and morals up to interpretation, that fits a huge number of people in popular anime, so it's a logical guess from a moderate fan but it's very unlikely to be the case, if this were a scifi game Darth Vader wouldn't be a weird guess but it would be surprising to pick it out of the big bucket and be right. A lot of us know death note apparently, well, a lot of us know mistborn too, and Kelsier matches that description and the guess would be reasonable - here - but Mistborn is not a hugely well-know fantasy series and this site is not associated to Death Note like we are to Mistborn through Wheel of Time, so it's about as probable as if we were in a fantasy crossover and I guessed Prince Garic from Lord of the Isles or Corwin of the Chronicles of Amber, both being characters from bigger, longer, and better selling series than Mistborn.

Now, let's say I had guessed Corwin, and someone else knew the series and we got to talking about how his motives are up to reader interpretation and generally good, this makes an attractive claim now because people have already given their reactions to it... doesn't have to make him a scummer though, HI/BA lied to us a few games back as townie, and if he got stuck with someone like Lex Luthor, well, Light as vig is believable and probably better than admitting to being 'auto cop' or 'auto doc' or 'horribly evil guy but town', or may have appeared better to HI/Ba which is more important. Roles are random, so someone can end up being the same role twice in a short period, but it strikes me as more likely he believed himself as vig would be acceptable to the rest of us, an awful lot of fake claims, and I know fake claims, are very strongly influenced by recent roles. This may not be the case, probably is not but it is more plausible to me than random guess because it is a reasonable chain of logic. Lynch all liars is a good policy but he's known to have lied as a townie and we've got spit for proof he's lying, it could be a lucky guess, it could be FT really did have an inside track of some sort, of course if FT did have an inside track it isn't because they're scummer buddies I bet in which case I'd say HI/BA's scum/SK.
