Tied winning bids are decided randomly, for a two way, odds evens on a d6, for a three way 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 with players assigned in alphabetical order. I should probably point out that the minimum cash unit is 1 MS in the game, no decimals, but yes you can certainly bid 1237 MS on something as opposed to 1200, I'm not doing any arithmetic beyond 'eyeball accurate' as I trust my computer to add numbers and really only keep an eye out for 2000+2000=22000 stuff since entering an extra 0 is pretty easy to do.

There's no penalty for missing the opening bids so long as you've posted, it's just assumed you didn't see anything you wanted to bid on yet, however in the case of unused items they are simply 'disappeared' unless unique.

I expect to have the Late Auction Phase items up by 10-11 PM and financial reports out, its mostly copy and paste using the CHOAM Chief Clerk - Micros Oftexcel - who does a bang up job with his Pivot Tables But I'll need to do a lot of manual double checking since everyone's too new to the rules for me to expect anyone to notice they got screwed
