If you're lying and the real doc counterclaims, then you've revealed both roles to your remaining mafia allies.

If you're lying and the real doc does not come forth, or this game does not actually have a doc, people will be hesitant to lynch you.

And if you're telling the truth, well, the mafia are likely very amused.

Operating under the assumption that you're mafia, I'm very glad you chose to go for this instead of the regular self-preservation most mafia players go for - either vanilla or an unlikely role.

Still, barring a counter cop claim, I'm still for voting for you. I don't think docs are indispensable :P.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
