First off, we probably have normal scum and this is then a futile gesture. Second, if we don't and my hypothesis about the lynchees turning into rebels is accurate, we can easily test that via a copping of anyone of them at some point down the road and clean sweep the entire group since we'd know who they were. Third, were that the case we'd have a debalanced game... those happen, and figuring those out has won many a game but if that's the case the game is simply broken and the final outcome really wouldn't reflect on anyone's skill. For all we know a second lynch might kill him for keeps, I also don't like the idea of lynching someone two days in a row for what will amount in both cases to very hazy cases.

Consider the logic there though, if lynching people turned them scum, what would lynching them again do? It wouldn't take very long for a game of that sort to turn into a route by one side or another. If they have a NK - and someone had to hit Praz last night one assumes - then they'd be increasing their number by 1 a day while decreasing ours, that's a much faster mechanic then normal attrition, Day 3 end game. Now if we're in the whole conversion or cult realm, it's just as possible they recruit nobles the way they did in the book... by killing one and replacing him with a shapeshifter. I do think there's some weird mechanics going on in this game and we need to consider option like this, but we're not ready to act on any of them... like that latter option, why assassinate a brand new player if you're seeking to either 1) Flip him to your team, 2) Remove a potential threat... Praz is playing pretty well IMHO but he's not a logical convert if you're say, a single person as cult leader recruiting a team, why not go after a more experienced player? As for #2, NK's don't silence someone, I don't doubt that should FT or I get our vote stripped we'd still be able to effectively lead lynches, so why bother? But I raise this just to point out that lynchee is hardly the only flavor appropriate way to turn people to the dark side, so to speak. Most likely WF is a townie still and Praz was hit for his mine.

Mostly this is just paranoid speculation on my part that I brought up as an example of abnormal mechanics, I've got about half a dozen other major hypothesis that are no more or less likely and that just happened to be the one that came to mind. I wouldn't mind checking it to eliminate it, but it's not worth the effective cost. That one was on my mind because I was wondering if the long night phase might have had a purpose, like allowing a scum team to built from scratch, so someone who just became scum would have time to lay plans and groundwork. But I really doubt that was the case. If a straight no lynch doesn't work for all of you, vote for Hieshyn or figure out who the least active player's been and knock them off... if they do turn scum may as well give them highly inactive players Personally I don't think there's anything else to be accomplished today.
